B&T Cafe
Kept seeing posts of this place in my Instagram feed and decided to pay them a visit. I haven’t had a good banh mi for lunch since Les Bagets changed concepts at their Montrose location.
I’m not a fan of Les Girvals or Oui Banh Mi and Roostar is too far of a drive for lunch, so I was hopeful that this place might be the replacement sandwich place I needed.
The place is family owned and everyone was diligently working to quickly make drinks and sandwiches for the customers. Everything was fresh and my favorite part of the meal was the softness of the bread. Nothing irritates me more than when the bread is so toasted and hard that it basically exfoliates the roof of your mouth and leaves it sensitive for hours afterwards. Not so with this place, the bread was soft, but still warmly toasted. The filling was plentiful and the meat was tasty.
I also enjoyed the Matcha Milk Tea which I ordered half sweet. Everyone was super friendly and seemed intent on creating a pleasant experience for the diner.
The place is small and won’t accommodate large groups of people, but thankfully you can order items to go or phone in for pick-up. Parking can be an issue since it shares a small lot with a laundromat and a nail salon, but they do have one designated 15-minute parking spot out front for those doing take out.
Definite potential at this place!
Update:
I have returned multiple times for lunch and each time the food has been consistently good. My favorite item to order is the Spicy BBQ Pork along with the Matcha Milk Tea. Can’t beat the price and quality and it has definitely warmed it’s way into being a regular lunch favorite.
