About

As a resident of Houston for most of my life, I’ve had the opportunity to witness how much the food scene continues to change in the city — and right now, it’s a great time to be a foodie in H-Town.

Seven years ago I started documenting my food adventures (with the occasional reviews) on Tumblr; unfortunately, the updating process was tedious and grew difficult to maintain.  At the urging of a friend, I switched over to Instagram and it became my medium of choice for the last 3 years. Initially it was a learning process, but over time my photos improved and I became more efficient sharing my food photos. My account still serves primarily as my food diary, but occasional adventures from concerts, art, and travel are thrown into the mix.

While I’ve enjoyed interacting with others in the Instagram food community and discovering new places I would not have known about otherwise, something was still missing in terms of what I wanted to share and inform the public about Houston food.  Friends are often asking for recommendations or inquiring how one restaurant compares to another.  This blog is my attempt to efficiently answer those questions and in the process, help showcase all the wonderful food that Houston has to offer.

This site is a work in progress, but with time, I hope to find a place in the food community as a reliable resource for where to dine in the Bayou City.
